The PlayMaker school was developed over two years of research and curriculum development.
Traditional subjects, grade levels, and classroom style spaces have been transformed into hands-on and play-oriented experiences.

Game
focuses on youth that have a hard time controlling their fear,
frustration, and anger. Game works with IOM biofeedback controller that
monitors pulse and skin conductance. Player learns calming techniques
and must use them to remain calm in order to overcome various mini-game
challenges.

Using the Nintendo Wii-mote controller, the game teaches employees basic
airplane engine assembly. Game focuses on quick memorization and
repetition of procedures and skills. Evaluation engine was built to give
real-time performance feedback to the trainee.

A city-based simulation that allows for the allocation of
hazmat, police, fire, and medical teams to minimize casualties and divert traffic
from a massive toxic cloud spill.

Sandia Labs, and New York City Center for Disaster Control.

evacuate as many survivors as possible.

The game focuses on aspects of oceanography, fish anatomy, and ecological awareness. The player explores the ocean, netting different rare species of fish and dissecting them in a marine base lab.
Game promotes MRI scanning techniques for fish anatomy due to ecological issues associated with live dissection.

Educational game that introduces basic concepts of human immunology to
high school and entry-level college students. Navigate a
nanobot through blood vessels and connective tissue in an
attempt to retrain a patient's non-functional immune
cells. Students learn about the biological processes that
enable white blood cells to detect and fight infections.

for NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE HUMANITIES
2007
The player explores a Russian World Exposition
that serves as a microcosm of the larger issues
in 19th century Russia. The game has three exploration
tracks; political, technological, or artistic. Each track features notable historical figures, objects, environments, and historical
events. Natural Russian language and gestures are also introduced within the gameplay.
The project was the result of a collaboration of game developers, historians,
and Russian linguists.

Utilized in classes throughout the Los Angeles

arguments using pictures, sounds, movies, and text which can be

Currently the application is implimented in classrooms at the

platform is a server based real-time massive multiplayer system used
for
social gaming, emergence, and competition.
The current game allows students on USC
campus to plant virtual plants and watch them grow,
mutate, and cross-pollinate over time.
